Hall’s annual Chalk Festival was a huge success thanks to the cooperation of the sun and the hard work of Karen Herz, Jennifer Sterne and their cadre of parent volunteers, including Amy Friedricks with music. Students from Hall and Neil Cummins filled our blacktop with colorful and creative drawings while they were entertained by a host of excellent musicians. The students enjoyed the music of the Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Jazz Band and Hall Chorus, as well as staff performances from Bert Pankler, Mary Eaton, James Fester and our Superintendent, Valerie Pitts. We held our breath as the rain clouds threatened all day. As it turned out, the rain waited until our artists finished their work and won their raffle prizes. It was a great event that showcased the artistic talent of our students and the joy of the community coming together.

We owe a big thanks to Karen and Jennifer for their organization, support and patience through our multitude of cancellations and “un-cancellations” in the morning. As usual, events like these cannot happen without the support of our parent volunteers. Thank you to everyone who made this event a great success!
